How to download an X (Twitter) video

  1. Open the post on X (Twitter) and tap Share, then Copy link.
  2. Go to the XGrokSaver downloader and paste the link into the box.
  3. Press Download and choose the quality you want.
  4. Save the MP4 file. It goes to your device's Downloads folder.

Fix common download problems

  • "Only Twitter (X) and Grok URLs are allowed"

    Copy the link straight from the post (Share > Copy link). It must start with x.com, twitter.com or grok.com.

  • The post has no downloadable video

    The link must point to a post that contains a video or GIF. Links to profiles, text-only posts or posts where the media was removed cannot be downloaded.

  • Private account or deleted post

    Only public posts can be downloaded. If the account is private, the post was deleted or the author restricted it, the link cannot be read.

  • The video opens in the browser instead of downloading

    Long-press (mobile) or right-click (desktop) the Download button and choose "Download linked file" / "Save link as". On iPhone use Safari and check the Downloads icon in the address bar.

  • It worked before but now it fails

    X changes how it serves media from time to time. Wait a few minutes and try again, then email us the post link if it keeps failing.
